The project was started on January 1, 2013, and is located in Oroqen Autonomous Banner, Hulun Buir City, Inner Mongollia Autonomous Region of China, which was under the leadership of Keyihe Forestry Bureau. The total development time of this project is 30 years and the total area is 20,526 hectares and it will be completed until December 31, 2024.

By June 2018, the first batch of carbon credit has been accomplished, totaling 500,000 tons.Prior to the implementation of the project, years of deforestation had resulted in soil loss, reduced forest coverage and a sharp decrease in biodiversity in the region.

The Inner Mongolia Keyihe IFM (conversion of logged to protected forest) Project is implemented in Oroqen Autonomous Banner, Hulun Buir City, Inner Mongollia Autonomous Region of China, which includes the Improved Forest Management (IFM) of the forests in the conversion of logged to protected forest. Before the implementation of the project activity, the trees are logged based on a valid and verifiable government-approved timber management plan for harvesting the project area.

The implementation of project (conversion of logged to protected forest) will increase the stability of the ecosystem; enhance biodiversity conservation by increasing forest cover and nature habitat connectivity.
